Please, please, please if you're going to use permalinks, put in the A NAME code, since without it, your permalinksare just so much HTML flotsam on the rising tide of my wrathDON'T WORK!!
And while you're at it, please keep your blog page to a reasonable length. Depending on how much and how long you blog, of course, this may vary, but keep it reasonable.
Just, please, trust me on the permalinks.
